Steering Committee Chair commends Seychelles for rescuing hijacked Sri Lankan vessel

On 30 January 2024, the Chair of the Steering Committee to the Djibouti Code of Conduct and its Jeddah Amendment rendered high praise to the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) and Coast Guards successfully regaining control of a hijacked Sri Lankan vessel from armed Somali pirates, aboard vessel Topaz. His congratulatory statement follows Seychelles President Ramkalawan’s official commendation of the team for their professionalism and bravery.
