RMIFC releases Incident report for Q4 2023
The Regional Maritime Information Fusion Centre (RMIFC) was established in Antananarivo, Madagascar in 2016 under the European Union’s Maritime Security Programme. The program aimed to address Somali-based piracy by uniting regional inter-governmental organizations in Eastern and Southern Africa to bolster maritime security. The center facilitates information sharing on various maritime security issues in the Western Indian Ocean, encompassing violence, illegal fishing, smuggling, irregular migration, and safety incidents at sea.
